iuksob03
I've got the same thing happening with mine. I thought I read in another thread that it has something to do with brake light coming in contact with the rear windshield. I dunno.
fbi012
well good news should come 2moro, going to my dealership for that. I have parked my car outside, and its pretty cold today. I will try not to heat the car and go directly to the dealer, this way it will be obvious. i'll let you know if I find anything out. I hope the rattle will not disappear when i go there, everytime I go to my dealer, the car becomes perfect, as soon as I leave there r sounds allover. pflo
same problem in my LGT wagon. it's coming on both sides from near the rear tail lamp assembly. i suspect it is a wire that is making contact with the plastic parts that form the interior of the rear deck. i am going to have the dealer handle it at my first service. StopSweatinMe
Mine does it too. Really loud crackling noises only when the car is cold. The noises are very loud when going over bumps.
Kaptan
Yep, I have the same problem. Can't wait to find a resolution to this.
fbi012
as I expected, the rattles disappeared as soon as I reached my dealer, this sucks. If anyone finds the source let us know.
fbi012
ok so I spent some time on it last night and Im now sure its the third brake plastic cover. I have a sedan, so this might not apply to wagons.
Kaptan
Were you able to correct the problem? If so what did you have to do to the 3rd brake cover?
fbi012
I did not have a chance to work on the light, but since I now know the cource, it will be easier to solve. If you guys can take off the light and look at it, you might have a better idea. Its really eazy to take off. Im not sure if stuffing foam will help! Kaptan
I'd like to just get rid of the third brake light altogehter! I wish SOA would make a cover to replace if you remove the light for those that have the spoiler with light.
