MotoFanatic
Hi! Well, I took my car to a high performance wheel shop today because I had a slight steering wheel shake at higher speeds. What does this mean? Well, as it turns out, this meant doing 2 things: 1) Take wheel off and use a balancing machine to spin balance the tire. Then put wheel back on. 2) Once all have been spin balanced OFF the car and tires put back on, they jack the front end up and use a machine to spin the front wheels at a high rate of speed to balance it even more. Naturally, the car is smooth now but the question comes, are there issues/damage that may result out of spinning only the front wheels in a AWD car?? Thanks for any opinions on this! -Moto

MotoFanatic
Hey Jedi Pimp, It's a manual. Since you're from the DC area, you might know the place. It's Radial Tire Co. in Silver Spring. Great bunch of guys out there. -Moto
Jedi Pimp
I do know that place very well they did my Supra back in the day. I guess you might run the risk of overheating your center differential but if they just do it for a short while it's probably ok.
