ebpda9 Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 currently my car is lowered on bilstein hd's and swift springs, but latrely i have noticed that the steering is not that tight anymore, and it feels like it definitely has some play into it. After checking the balljoints, bearings and tie-rod ends i came to the conclusinon that the play is coming from the top hats. Even when turning the wheel from lock to lock i can hear like someting is grabbing at some point, then all of a sudden releases. I looke and it does not seem like it is the spring that is doing all that. Last when i had the tophats out they do not feel as smooth when turning that bearing by hand, and they had some slight play. I was wondering if this is an epidemic, or maybe just an isolated case?
