Dented wheels.

So last week I was drinving along the Garden State Parkway when I hit a pothole doing like 65. I thought nothing of it at the time because I have taken similar potholes before. And it was late at night so I was pretty tired. The next day I go out onto the Palisades parkway and the car up to 60 and the car starts vibrating. Its easily felt in the steering wheel. I talked to a buddy of mine and we figured that one of those weights put on for balancing probably flew off. So now I am sitting in the Bill Kolb Jr. Subaru dealership and while getting my Oil change told them to look at my wheels. Apparently both dirvers side wheels are dented.

Short part:

What they are trying to do is to balance out the two wheels and put them both on the back axle and then align the entire thing. If all else fails I may be looking at replacing both wheels which they say will cost me $600+ for two wheels. So if it comes to that what should I do?

If tire replacement comes into play make sure they measure the circumference of all the tires. If there is a difference greater than 1/4" between the old tires and the new tires, have them replace all of them. As a Subaru dealership, they should know this.

As much as I'd love a set of some nice aftermarkets it looks like stockers for me. So update on the situation. They were able to balance both wheels and put them on the back axle. There doesn't seem to be an issue. But the dealership guy said that for rotations from now on the tires would have to be removed from the wheel as the two dented ones have to stay on the back axle. There is a full set in ny I saw in the trades section of the forum for only $400. I'm wondering if anyone wants to go halvsies with me to save on cost. The dude prefers pick up and thats cool I'll go get em. And if anyone wants to go halvsies I will ship em out at your cost.

Actually I have a lot more...its just that since they were in the off topic section they don't count. Come on I have a 2.5i so I'm not going to be hopping around all the tuning threads so much. But I do like reading the Turbo Powertrain section.....Those cars are like porn.
