This place is indeed boring. There is no real good place to hang out... Buffalo Wild Wings or TGI Fridays... or the casinos.. pretty much that's it. I wouldn't know cause I have no life.. I work work and work ;)

Check out Rudys BBQ if you have not gone...some good short ribs, brisket, and sausage. The original one is off of I10 north of 1604 (Boerne area). Riverwalk still has some of its leaves on the trees and looks good. Longhorns burger joint is also really good place to get greasy yummy food :spin:

Yep at BYU. Nice, cheap....about 10-20% the price of UT Austin....and their business schools are equivalent. You go to BYU once upon a time?

  • 1 year later...

gonna revive this thread instead of starting a new one, i'm looking to possibly relocate to the temecula or murietta area for a job. the actual job site is in hemet but i was told to look for accommodations in the two aforementioned areas.

what are they like? from this thread, appears to be not too exciting...though i am looking more to settle down in the area, so the low crime rate and sense of community seems appealing. are there good grocery stores and gyms? also, randomly, are there any korean restaurants within a 30 min radius?

anyone know anything about perris? --> edit, seems not so good there after some basic research...but open to opinions

Ok I am a firm beliver of it is what you make of it. Is it the center of some kind of action packed movie sceen... No! But there is plenty to do there is the casinos, wine country, indoor kart racing, plenty of nice twisty roads in the area. Moto cross is big out here, there is the lake for water sports, plenty of shopping and movie theaters. Helmet and Perris are much smaller than the other two mentioned. You wouldnt need anything on a daily basis but depends on your life style.

yeah i read about the moto cross scene, i might be tempted to get into it myself hahaha.......althoughhhh my significant other would probably not be so pleased

honestly, from the way you describe it, it seems fine to me. i am looking for a suburban environment. as long as they have fairly contemporary commercial developments and franchises that's ok with me. i'll be visiting the area in about 3 weeks time.

If that is what your looking for then you will be plesently surprised. This is mighty busy little town. I think the population is about 500k. Plenty of poeple here I am from LA. And like it way better. less congestion, traffic, low crime, but some people call that boring.

socalsleeper, I still haven't spotted you anywhere in town yet. Where the hell do you hide? haha

Murrieta is an okay city. It's no San Diego or LA but those two big cities aren't that far away. I roll down to Oceanside quite often just to get away if I'm bored.

Crime rate is really low and housing isn't sky rocket like any other place. The house across the street from me is a 3900 sq/ft house with 5 bedrooms... built in 06 and it's going for $240,000. CRAZY!
