2001 Outback 3.0L H6 VDC

Anybody have one? IIRC '01 is the first year for the 3.0L H6, at least in the US. How reliable are they?

Am looking to trade in the '95 Legacy for something newer, for $6K-8K.

For $7K, almost sounds too good to be true. All other Outbacks I've seen at that price are base models. (sorry for the double post, didn't get many replies in the Older Legacy forum.)
