dom_tybolt Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Hi guys! This is my first Subaru (legacy 2.5i 05) and I was wondering what's the normal rpm at idle. Once my car is warmed up, it runs around 500rpm (maybe a little below) which I find a little low and then after 30-45 sec it reajust itself to 1000rpm and goes down again slowly to 500rpm. Do you guys think that this is normal? Can it have any affect on my oil pump? Any answer would be appreciated. Thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ehsnils Posted December 8, 2008 Share Posted December 8, 2008 Do you have the AC on or off? If it's on then the RPM rises a bit each time the compressor is started and then drops down again.
