itzed
The black one: http://subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partdetail.php?partid=4797 Verses the blue one: http://subarupartsforyou.com/cp_partdetail.php?partid=16814 I've always used the black ones, and I'm just noticing the blue ones and see that they are cheaper. Looks like they're both made by Subaru. Since I'm changing oil on two Subies these days, a couple bucks makes a difference to me. Anybody know what's up with these blue ones being cheaper? Balrock
there is a post somewhere on this already. the blue is what many are calling garbage made by fram. the black was the japan high quality one. from what i have read the suggestion is to no longer use subau oem blue filter and find a different brand. Bdubs
http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98776&highlight=blue+oil+filter Black is no more. Many dealers have quite an inventory of these, so you may be able to buy these for a little while longer. But, there has been a lot of negative press about the new one, so I can foresee everyone beginning to horde the old "roki's".
