carrata
So I've searched fairly thoroughly, looked at the flange from the outside, tried to guesstimate but... I can't seem to find the inlet size on the SPT V2 cat-back. (2.5" or 3"?) The midpipe is 3" and tapers down to 2.75" after the y-pipe. But is the inlet flange 3"? Ultimately, I'm looking for a quality catted downpipe that will mate properly with my current cat-back.
Spec B
From what I remember reading on the forum, I believe that the SPT is designed to work with the (smaller diameter) stock DP. If you run an aftermarket DP you will need to make sure it reduces from 3" to 2.5" so that it will mate with your exhaust.
Spec B
Ahh..this is where I read it. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=94237&highlight=SPT
carrata
Thanks for the link...I believe I read that thread at some point. What I don't understand is why the midpipe would be 3" all the way back to the Y if the flange at the inlet is only a 2.5". Does te pipe taper up to 3"? So if I went with the Cobb it would be: 3" dp -> 2.5" dp flange -> 2.5" mid-flange -> 3" midpipe....?
