eVoMotion
Super easy. Start to finish is less than 5 minutes for the first tortillas. Go to a mexican market and get Masa harina flour and a press. If you can not find a press a rolling pin would or just get a plate or pan and smash the dough flat on a chopping board. You can find the flour in major super markets in the flour section as well. Here is a great write-up for you with photos: http://www.elise.com/recipes/archives/004141how_to_make_corn_tortillas.php I get a cast iron pan just under smoking hot to cook these. I sometimes add fresh lime juice, more salt, or spices to flavor up the tortillas. Enjoy. What is your recipe for Corn Tortillas?????
eVoMotion
We have made our own recipe up. There are two ways we make it and both are good. crockpot - version - we add a bunch of different chilis to this http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Crispy-Pork-with-Avocado-Salsa-and-Tomato-Salsa-108049 most recently I have been using this recipe and then adding more to it to increase the spice. Coke and orange definitely add a richness that I found while in mexico eating at the best hole in the wall locals only places. http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Coke-Braised-Pork-Carnitas-235844 We get peanut oil from Asian markets for cheap. I am sure whereever people get their oil for deep fried turkey would be cheap as well. We like to use pork shoulder. It is a nice marbled, big piece of meat. I always eat too much of this stuff because it is soo good. How do you make the carnitas, in a crock pot? What part of the pig is the best to make carnitas?
