Denver133
Two things interested me. I would love to change the background to something else and also the bypass of this agree screen. Any progress?
Vwown3d
Sorry, Thanksgiving break = traveling around so I haven't had a chance to look at this. Maybe some time this week
wildoutwhitegsr
I would be interested in a firmware mod to the screen unit if this becomes possible though. The one problem with the KNA-G510 integration is that in the map mode you do not get voice prompts. I am certain that this is an error in the firmware of the screen as you are able to hear the voice prompts when you are in the info mode. I would need to modify the screen firmware to make it match the standard Kenwood interface protocols (i.e. allow voice prompt through in all modes). Zimm in this post here http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67018 other members have found that you could possible get around this with a mute lead. Another option. Zimm
A mute lead wouldn't do it. The problem lies in the screen unit. For some reason the protocol that the KNA and the screen use seems to be a little different. The screen has to pass through the audio and it won't do that unless it sees a signal from the KNA that tells it to. This is in the comms and not a discrete. SubLo
You guys are spinning your wheels, wasting your time. Don't bother. This has been discussed ad nauseum on here, Tundra, Cadd-douche, and Vette boards. Putzing around with the DVD despite the boasting will not get you anywhere I assure you. The Kiwi files are compiled proprietarilly. The EULA, aka "I agree" screen/button is not going anywhere and is imbedded in the PROM/EPROM not in the Kiwi files. Unless you are a Denso tech (OEM of all these sat-navs), you are again completely wasting your time. Good luck though. ________________________________________________ '05 BSM OBXT Row-your-own, W.I.P. '06 Shrek B # 64 - The car the wife loved to hate :( Sold...

The fact that the agree button is part of the screen pretty much makes this a no go. I would love to see it go away, but again - I still don't think we will ever see a firmware update (see my post #11)
