Yea wasn't able to go tonight, but my cousin works over at Mr. Tire, and we used his bay for my catback and TMIC so I think I'll just hit him up again. The shop at Ft. Meade is good, they have like 10+ bays, and usually some of the retired Army guys are ok, but there are some dumbarses in there, GO ARMY! HAHAHA

OK guys, so I keep throwing the P0244 CEL (Overboost) I'm thinking it's time for a tune, so where is a good place to go, someone that knows their stuff, and won't blow smoke up my arse, and cost me an arm and a leg for a crap job. Anyone?

Can anyone here speak of the work quality of Annapolis Subaru? I've had them do service on my car before but only a handful of times. Every time they've been great. Haven't had them install any aftermarket parts for me before though.

^Racecomp is an exceptional source for EXTREMELY high quality parts.

Myles is also a great source for suspension knowledge.

Not sure what there prices for install & such are like. But im sure you get quality work. Just be sure to compare their prices with other local install shops.

My advice for tuning will always be Agile. Hill is a great guy. But he tunes very conservatively. Some people prefer to push the envelope a little more. He tunes more for reliability.

I will be making the trip there when I can afford to or when and if I go VF52.

:orly::confused::rolleyes:

I would suggest Jorge from P&L.

I dont think racecomp does dyno stuff. They are a suspension/track specialist shop.

I believe Agile is the only COBB pro-tuner in the area.

IAG has one Dyno weekend a month in which they fly in one of the best tuners in the country (imo), Jorge Carillo from P&L. He is also a certified "pro-tuner" and has the COBB rights to pro-tune the Accessport.

Dont want to get into the "this shop is better than that shop" again, so I'll leave it at that. But I wanted to clear it up with Angrylitho that he really only has two options in the area.

How does Jorge tune? Aggressive/conservative? What's it goin to run as far as an hourly rate? Rick/JJ input?

Jorge can tune however you want. If you have a racecar, he'll tune it appropriatly. If you have a DD, he'll tune appropriatly, if you have a Dyno queen and you want hgue numbers and want to blow your car up....he'll tune appropriatly. He listens very well to what the customer wants and needs. But I dont want to interject and say exactly how he does it, but I can tell you that from what I've seen, he tunes alot differently from other tuners. One thing to note is he gets the car VERY hot before he even begins tuning for power. This ensures that his tunes will work safely in the WORST case scenario.

Go~Rilla Thanks for all the info, it is very helpful. I'm impressed with the numbers they got from this last set of cars, I should probably sign-up on NASIOC  and search there too. I've got a little bit till the money's there, I think I'll just go to both shops and talk to them in person, I'm more of an in person, person anyways . Thanks for info gents, I'll definitly have to post reviews, and all that jazz when I get it done, and of course the numbers ;)

Thanks for sharing the info, Greg. I'm still being a huge slacker on the LGT board... Getting caught up on PM's/NASIOC stuff most of the day... I swear I'm trying to spend some more time over here...lol.

Angry,

If you have ANY questions that you would like to throw at us about our tuning sessions, please feel free to call any time at the shop to chat! :)

Regards,

Rick
