17x7.5/et36????????

when i picked up these wheels i was told when i ordered them that they had an offset of +40. well turns out they have an offset of +36. i tried them on and made sure nothing was rubbing etc... But just wanted to see if anyone else out here has ran an offset like this i browsed around, but most i see was a +40. i think i seen one in a +35 but they were inquiring. i guess if all else fails i can take them back, but i normally take my summers off at the end of october.

here are a couple pics that i took with them on there. just want to make sure i will not run into any complications.

again, 17x7.5 et36 wheels size is a 215/45

visually looking, there does not appear to be any clearance issues and anything that stands out that would be a problem. I did not try turning the wheels though to see if they woudl rub etc. Just looking for some feedback with this, and to try to get some attention over this. I posted in the FAQ as well, but dont really want to clutter the thread up with pics.

they aren't on the car as of now. I put them on when I first picked them up. I would guess though based off of my memory and bu what pictures I do have, I would say a good inch to an inch and a half of wheel space between the tire and the fender.

i have 18x8 +43 which is probably within a mm of your setup (for the edge of the rim sticking out)... on top of the fact that i have a slightly larger wheel due to my sidewall. With this i JUST rub in the rear.

are you riding on stock suspension, or do you have aftermarket? thanks for the reply.

Rub and shaving tire with any small bumps on the road, any hard turns, any unsmooth surface makes me bite my teeth hard because i know that horrible sound is coming. Had to trade the 18x8 +35 NT03+M to my 18x7.5 NT03+M

most likely I would say you would have a problem, and you are now limited to a set of 215 wide tires or thinner. You really need to roll your fenders and make some camber alignment changes.

Once you start having other people in the car or hauling stuff around or even driving spiritedly, it will rub and the fender will start getting a beating or the tire will start to cut.
