water being redirected onto suspension

I was recently under my car installing Up/Down pipe and noticed something. On the firewall, there is a hose redirecting water I guess from the A/C right only a bushing on the passenger side of the car. I just cut about an inch and a half of the hose and now it drops straight down onto the ground. Just thought I'd let yall know, it already started some surface rust on the car where it was being redirected. I dont think its a big thing but I guess an over time precaution. With 28k miles, I really didnt want to see any rust. I'll post a picture up when I get home from school.

I posted something about this in some other thread I had forgotten about. I was also concerned about the issue of water being directly dripped onto that bushing. i guess my fear was justified if you're seeing rust at only about 20k miles. I am going to go cut the hose too so it drips straight onto the ground.
