Another n00b question: Metal or rubber valve stems OEM?

I just got off the phone with a rep at TireRack. I'm trying to buy a set of TPMS sensors, and apparently there are different part numbers for metal and rubber valve stems, which the rep (who didn't really seem to know what he was talking about) said were both offered OEM and could have different frequencies for the TPMS sensors.

AFAIK, the 2008 LGT was only offered with rubber valve stems, so is TireRack just totally wrong?

Ok, update. I got a chance to check out my valve stems, they actually look like they're the aluminum ones. But I placed an order with TireRack today and the new rep said there was only one part number for the sensors, regardless of the type of valve stem.

:iam:

Anyway, $190 shipped is a lot cheaper than what the dealer would charger.
