I have a Perrin and know there are several brands of filters cleaners and oils to clean it. Just looking for opinions on what has worked well for people. Also..has anyone had good luck with a AEM dry filter? Or others? I know when I first ran my Perrin there was so much oil from the factory that if messed with the MAF for a little while. bugblatterbeast Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 I've used baby shampoo, simple green and the AEM cleaner. they all work. The AEM cleaner is only $7 and you can get two cleanings out of one package. I only use the first two if I have to clean a filter and don't have the proper stuff on hand.
