PanZ
I have a 07 Legacy 2.5 GT and I am moving from Phoenix AZ to Denver CO and I hooked up the car on car carrier yesterday. As I was leaving I noticed a car alarm was going off. I soon realized it was mine. I pulled over and turned it off. Then I start driving and it starts up again. The whole time I was driving from the truck rental to my apartment I was having to use my keys to deactivate the alarm. I have no idea what could be causing this. Any ideas? el5y
Did you leave the car unlocked when you were towing it? Maybe shock sensor?
BoozeRS05
It's the shock sensor... When my car is parked/locked, and a loud car or bike passes it, the alarm will sound... Jon in CT
I agree, it's the shock sensor. If you have the factory NAV system, you can adjust it. If you've got the car on a trailer, you should consider disconnecting it (mounted to the floor below front passenger's seat).
PanZ
Thanks for you input. I ended up just disconnecting one of the leads to the battery and everything stop then. I guess that I should be happy that my car is so smart. I hope I don't have to put my LGT on a trailer again, it deserves much better.
