Soda Popinski
I have a Stage 2, 2008 Legacy GT 5EAT... My driveway is pretty steep. When I turn onto it and step on the gas, the car dips in power as the car changes angle. It almost stalls sometimes, even if you go WOT, it just cuts out, then regains once all 4 wheels are on the same plane. Any idea what is doing this? I have stock fuel system, stock turbo and stock engine (physical). Intake, Exhaust (TBE), AccessPORT Stage 2 maps (1.03) 93 octane, Suspension and Brakes are all Stage 2. Not a major problem, just wondering if it's a limitation of the vehicle. It's more noticible if I'm turning right and gunning it uphill, somehow, turning left, crossing the lane and gunning it uphill doesn't have the same magnitude of effect. Any info would be great... HansGT
Drives normal otherwise?
Soda Popinski
Drives normal otherwise? yeah, I've never had a backfire or stall other than stock within the first 1000 miles. I can almost duplicate it on demand... pull up to the driveway, slow down to about 5 mph, turn right and head up an incline. Gun it. Front wheels hit the slope, back wheels get to the bottom of the driveway, power loss. Power restore, drives fine. after that up hill.
DBHMAN
Possibly the VDC system, or some other system is pulling throttle because it is sensing an "abnormal" condition associated with a sudden angle or wheel speed change? This is purely a guess.
littlerob904
^^ That's not a bad thought. Try disabling VDC and see if you can duplicate it?
