jonklein611
Are they worth it on an older legacy?

jonklein611
Well that was simple, also the $14 per plug price difference swayed me from getting them...
franklin
I thought i doing good when I bought some for my mother in laws 89 Corolla. It did not run right. The electronics were not up to the task. Stay with Platinum.
stanjk3
Stay with Platinum. As long as they're not Bosch Platinums, unless you like misfires. NGK V-power plugs have worked great for me. They were $1.50- $2 each when I bought them 3 years ago. Don't waste your money of fancy /expensive spark plug wires either. Friends don't let friends drink cheap beer. jonklein611
I run NGK V Powers as well, and just got standard plug wires. Wire is wire, as long as the resistance is low, it's all good.
Grimace
yea just put NGK V-Power in mine and i think they were like 2$. They worked great except for actually trying to put them in.
jonklein611
I've never had any issues. course, I found the right combo of driver adapters so the wrench is above the washer tank. oh you have a 2.5.... yeah those suck to change plugs on *glares at mother's forester*
KnifeyMcShanker
Yeah my friends with Hondas and Mazdas always laugh at me when I go to change/check plugs on my 2.
Bdubs
It's no picnic changing the plugs on a 2.2 turbo either. Between the airbox and vac. hoses on the passenger side, it's quite the tedious task.
jonklein611
Ahhhh, my airbox is no more, so that side is a little easier. Small price to pay to have a boxer :-D
KuNomn
I had iridiums in my 97 LGT, no noticeable difference other than just being a new set of plugs.
