DarkLegacy
I am having some trouble with my turbo timer. When I drop the e-brake the timer just shuts off. I checked the connection to my ebrake and it seems to be grounded properly. Any thoughts or suggestions??
RochNY91TSI
Did you install it? I'm pretty sure that what you're describing is normal functionality. The apex-i tt that I had on my talon had a safety mechanism hooked up to the e-brake so that if you disengaged it, the tt would turn off. It's meant so that your car doesn't just take off running (even though the e-brake won't really do anything)
JonLGT
It is supposed to, its a safety feature. Edit: The car is supposed to shut off if you put the e-brake down.
DarkLegacy
I dont mean that. I'll try and describe it better. I park my car, pull up the e-brake, and then turn the key off and the turbo timer does not count down, it just turns off. Its like I dont have a turbo timer... JonLGT
I would say check where the TT is interrupting the ignition.
Darkness of Death
doesn't seem like it's hook up properly. i personally didn't bother to run the wire to the ground on the parking brake. but i bought the wiring harness. did you buy a harness or had to tap the wires? DarkLegacy
I have had the timer for about 2 years now.... It has worked fine for a long time and now for some reason it does not work. Its driving me nuts.... I am thinking that something is not right near the e brake
ProjectSega
This might sound kinda dumb, but have you checked if the TT is just turned off? I had the Apexi one on another car, and the light and everything would still run, but the count down feature was turned off.

JonLGT
TTs on our cars are still useful is some cases. Even if it is water cooled it is probably best to let your car cool down after spirited driving. At least it does something.
