I would buy this Chevy

Recommended Posts

I would buy this car if Chevy would make a car that looked like this and put the Z06 Drivetrain in there.

That was out before the new Muskrat. It's a design done by a high school kid in Hot Rod or something.

Well Ford has actually built the new Mustang. The GM people need to get the ball rolling on this one. Its rather shameless, but they should know Chevy dealers would sell a ton of these.

I remember a thread many years ago on another car forum, discussing the return of the new VW beetle. One poster mentioned that Chevy should try a stunt like that with the classic '67-69 Camaro design. Looks like they may indeed.

Honestly though, I've never been a Camaro guy. Faced with the choice of the two at the same price, I would go with the new Mustang GT. It would be more of a protest purchase though, because a)the Firebird is dead and b)Ford kept the lineage alive, while GM copped out and canceled the Camaro for 5 years.

Hey Shadow, can Holden build something like this? The styling looks way too agressive for those guys.

Well I do like this Camaro lineage better than what it became before they pulled the plug. Not sure what rear drive platform GM can slide under it soon enough to dent Mustang sales. I like this and the Mustang much better than how Dodge botched the Charger.

Since the time I saw the picture, I've liked it. I would rather take an old Mustang over a Camaro, but if GM would pull off the new model like that, I think it's a lot better job than Ford did with the Mustang. I know a lot of people that think Ford did a rather good job with it, but I'm not in agreement with that, I think they could have done it much better IMO, made it look less plasticy and used some more of the old car's lines and such. A modern replica of the old would have been very nice.

I've read the same things, that they'll turn out another Camero in 07 - 08. But I've also read that the Trans is dead.

Oh well, I hope that if Chevy makes another Camero that they do it right. Because as of late, the GTO and the new Charger are just awful. The Charger is now a touing sedan, and the goat looks like a Grand Am.

It is interesting to see how prices have plummeted for the GTO, looks like no ones buying them.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Kris doesn't work for GM, he's just a fan of the Camaro that works very well with 3D Drawings. So, it's not even a GM concept, just a fans drawing.

The Monaro is going to be built in the U.S along with all Zeta cars(Monte Carlo, Impalla, Grand Prix, Camaro, Velite, and GTO) so Holden won't be building the Camaro, BUT they're making a car that will basically be the Aussie Camaro. There's ALOT of heresay going on about how there will be a smaller version of Zeta called Beta that the Camaro may go on. Don't know for sure yet.

Torana the Aussie platform is based on Kappa platform and it could spawn a 2+2 Coupe, but it will be solstice/sky sized, so no Camaro there. There aren't any flippin spy shots of the U.S. Zeta yet, but you can get a picture in your head of what Zeta cars will look like.
