All in all I'm not that big a fan of built-in hi-tech stuff. It's just another reason for the local hoodlums to break into your car. I can hardly imagine what steps someone like that kid who got his VW van pimped on MTV needs to do to protect a 40" plasma screen tv mounted in his van...or did someone say they saw it (the van) for sale on ebay? Now, with all that stuff becoming standard on every SUV and minivan here in the US I doubt that Subaru doesn't know that we have a huge market for it. Maybe they were just really concerned about keeping the price of a fully loaded Legacy under the $35K mark. Start creeping up to the $40K range and people start heading towards the premium marks.
