Rear Diff replaced under warranty

I just had my rear diff replaced as a warranty item today. It was whining and the tech described it as "pinion gear backlash."

 

My god that old diff must have been trashed because it feels like a different car totally. Strange how you'll get used to a part that is slowly going bad. Car feels more planted and far more composed. I'm going to call and talk to the tech that replaced it just to find out what kind of shape the old unit was in. That passenger side shaft must have just been barely hanging in there?!

 

Big ups to Kelly Subaru in Tallahassee Florida. They have really taken care of me.

 

Now i'm going to try to take care of this one a little better . Do the bushing insert growl fix!
