Is there any specific problem areas I should look for, anything I need to be wary of or give extra attention to when purchasing a used Legacy? hotrodwagon Posted January 22, 2005 Share Posted January 22, 2005 The most common problem is the cylinder head gaskets leaking. I got lucky - mine went at 190K miles, but I've read of it happening at all different mileages. The rear seal starts leaking at some point too.
