jonoco
Here's the deal. Tried to order these on my own but both distributors I spoke with don't carry Suby 5x100 applications. They deal in bulk shipments so the only way to get these ordered is through a group buy. If your looking for a simple clean 10 spoke design these wheels might be of interest. They are cast and manufactured in Japan. 18's weigh in at 21lbs and 17's weigh in at 18lbs. Not to bad for a cast aluminum wheel. If I can get 5-10 sets ordered, Peter from getyourwheels.com has agreed to a price of $650 a set shipped within the continental US. That price is for the 18" version I got a quote for. The 17" version might be slightly less. Wheel specs, pics, and additional link for Japanese site is listed below. 17x7 5x100 et48 18lbs 18x7.5 5x100 et48 21lbs http://www.sdesign.jp/Jcar/products/WHEEL/3_200.jpg http://www.sdesign.jp/Jcar/products/rx8_B.jpg http://www.sdesign.jp/Jcar/products/legacy_4b_B.jpg http://http://www.sdesign.jp/Jcar/products/17_18inch/index.htm
NSFW
That link is broken - try this one: http://www.sdesign.jp/Jcar/products/17_18inch/index.htm Nice wheels, I like that style a lot. And I bet the dark ones would look sweet on a black car. But I already have a set of Rotas coming next month.
yakker
I'd be interested in the 18's, but am looking to order wheels this week. My tires are pretty bald and getting dangerous.

fuzzydd
Ahhh I need wheels within the next week or two, interested to see how much interest this churns up
ShadowImg
You may want to consider getting some Rota Tarmac 3s instead. Wider and lighter, and a very similar 10 spoke design. Not to mention easy to acquire.
jonoco
I was actually considering the Rota G-Force but didn't want to go with an 8.5 inch wide wheel. I currently have a FSXT with a WRX suspension so making sure I have enough strut clearance without the use of spacers is key. Plus I had these exact wheels on a GTI several years ago so I'm familiar with what to expect in regards to quality. Nothing against the Rotas as their a very cost effective way of duplicating the look of other high end wheels without the price. Just don't have first hand experience with them. ShadowImg
Definitely understandable -- I think you'll run into people in the Subaru world with the opposite problem, they're used to Rotas as knockoffs and hard to get them to swing towards other off brands. On the Tarmac 3s, you can get them in an 8" -- should eliminate the trouble of the width. They clear on WRX and STi both as far as I know (I had Tarmac 2s on my 03 Impreza, said to clear STi Brembos and they cleared my suspension just fine)
gf2020
What's your timeframe? I could be interested in the 18s. What type of finish do they come in, my Japanese is a little rusty.
jonoco
I'd like to have everyone interested set their orders up by the weekend. They come in silver, silver w/polished face, and black w/polished face. The wheels with the polished face cost a little bit more. The group buy price is based off of the 18" silver version. Let me know if your interested today if you can. I have up to 6 people interested not including myself so I'd like to get a definite confirmation by tomorrow. Thanks! Order details to come soon.
