JL cleansweep randomly BLASTS

Every few months, my JL Cleansweep volume knob becomes unresponsive and the stereo just CRANKS/BLASTS. in the past, i would just turn down all the inputs and wait it out. today i just unplugged and replugged the input into the CS and it fixed the issue. has anyone else had this random problem? any ideas why it happens?

Had it with my RF 360 out of the box. It's likely the remote knob. In my case it was a bad phone/ribbon cable.

look at you radio i had to replace me radio because every so often it would go crazy and make a load wired noise found out that my radio is slowly going bad take a look because the jl cleansweep is top of the line and should not have any problems of could it make wired sounds sence all it dose it let music pass throw

unfortunately i ruled that out. it happens with the aux input of the CS as well

If I remember, the JL cable is simply a normal phone jack cable. Try swapping that out (no need to run wires under carpet yet) to see if that's the issue.

the problem is that it happens so infrequently, there is no way to know if that actually fixes it or not.

if its just a phone cord, swap it out, tuck it best you can... and drive till it happens again... if it goes an absurdly long time without happening, id say you found the problem.
