I think the problem is that so many people have differences of where they want their amps to be.

1) Under the seats - dont need any trays

2) They dont want to lose the trunk pass through, considering you open it up for better bass (some people do, like me :) )

3) Some want to mount the amps to the back of the seats, but still keep the passthrough

4) Many people use the spare tire tray area... Which would probably be the best spot for someone to make a tray, but then again, its always up to what the person wants.

It looks really nice for sure, but I dont think it would be a very profitable endevor honestly. Which is why people probably dont want to waste the time making them.

Thats just what I think though, kinda why I wouldnt want to make them, even though they do look good.

If I pass you on the right, I'm flipping you off.

1 - Not enough room under the seats for most normal sized amps.

2 - Would probably still allow you to use the rear-deck sub hole for bass transfer.

3 - The back of our seats are tiny!! Probably the same amount of room as under the seats.

4. One of these for the spare tire area would be great also.

Probably sell as well as the wickedCAS box... hard to say if thats profitable though.

I wanted to mount my amp, PG zx600ti, to the back of the seats... Unfortunatly at 16inches long, it wouldnt fit... it wouldnt fit without covering the passthrough.. or straight up and down. Maybe my amp is larger than most?? i dont know... I was going to just cut a piece of 1/2 inch MDF and kinda make one of these,... without the tub.. but really wanted to keep the pass through.

Im not saying this is ideal for everybody.. but showcars and for people that dont mind the loss of passthrough its a nice look.

You could cut a piece of MDF covered in matching carpet like you were saying and put it on some hinges near the top. You could add some threaded T-nuts near the bottom that would allow you to secure the bottom. Then, when you need to use the pass through just undo those little bolts at the bottom and swing the amp rack up and out of the way.

It could work pretty well if you put some thought into it.

too bad my amp has a top fan, or something like this would be nice.

As long as you mounted it with the fan underneath the stock sub location it would probably vent just fine.

Googalash, that's a bad ass idea for the amp. Up and out of the way and keeps it clean; I like that a lot! I think I will do something like that on a little bit more of a massive scale with my EDNINe.5....I think it's about 28 inches long. The only thing I would like to suggest, if I may, is that you should try and separate your RCA's and your power wires if possible.

I love the passthrough! It keeps my mono-block amp from overheating and shutting off.
