KNS Brakes Posted May 7, 2008 Share Posted May 7, 2008 Hawk has FINALLY made the ubiquitous rear pad for the 05+ 2.5i/OBXT. The brakes on my 05 OBXT were awful which I mostly attribute to the ceramic OEM pads. The pad imprinting was astounding and the car stopped like my 71 Nova - which is to say it didn't. The front pads are D929 WRX pads - so some HPS went in there right away. The rears will go in asap. A close look at the rotors was interesting too. The front rotors are 'WRX' sized - but different. Thicker plates and more vanes to handle the heavier car. Although we didn't get the big LGT brakes - they at least tried to help out somewhat. The rear rotors are completely new. Plain rotors are available for both front and rear. I'd say the heavier front rotor is an upgrade for any base 294x24 (WRX) front rotor. Contact your favorite retailer.
