alostsok
I was thinking of upgrading my sound system.. Does anyone have a clue what the max recommended wattage to each speaker is? I'm wondering is it's worth putting a new amp and a new sub with the current speaker set-up, or if I'l need to change speakers to hear a difference. I don't want just thump, I was thinking of how to achieve a strong sound, with a solid base and clear highs, etc. I have the sub-under-my-ass setup currently, and it is great at making my stomach feel a little weird
axis008
I don't know the stock wattage, but I'm guessing your best bet is to go with a LOC and external amplifier. You will get better results that way. -ben
Helfrick
I agree w/axis008. An amp would probably be a good choice. The stock speakers have "Max 30w" printed on the magnets. Everything I've read concerning speaker wattage says that it is better to overdrive than underdrive. i.e. http://www.polkaudio.com/car/faqad/q.php?article=spkrblow
