SHORACETEAM
Does anyone know where I can get an aftermarket shifter ball bushing? Or if one even exists? This seems to be the source of the play left in my shifter and I would like to eliminate it.
rc0032
Im not sure what you mean by ball bushing...do you see it in this pic? http://www.kartboy.com/basket/images_large/kartboy/KB-003.jpg
SHORACETEAM
No, I already have all of those. I am looking for the socket that the ball at the bottom of the shift lever fits into. The stock one is white and has an O-ring around it. The snap ring holds it down. quote=rc0032;1859939]Im not sure what you mean by ball bushing...do you see it in this pic? http://www.kartboy.com/basket/images_large/kartboy/KB-003.jpg
Metal2You
http://www.turninconcepts.com/ has a lot of bushings for the shift linkage, but I don't think that ball is one of them. Are you sure the ball is the source of the slop? Perhaps a new OEM ball would help?
SHORACETEAM
I dont think its the ball itself, I think it is the cup that the ball goes into. I am pretty sure that is is the source because it is the only thing moving when I wiggle the shift lever with the boot removed. Perhaps the ball on the kartboy STS is a little smaller than the stock one? I will look into this. If I cant find a solution, I think I will design my own and machine it out of Delrin.
