Built in Japan?

This may just be common knowledge, that I am lacking. Sorry!

Is the Legacy built in Japan and then shipped over to the US? A friend that owns an STI says that only the STI's are built in Japan. Not sure if I believe that.

does your friend do drugs? is he addicted to cocaine?

OTM.

Sorry I didn't mean to start a war which mainly forum people is all about ;).

USDM Legacy is built in Indiana. In fact there should be a little SIA sticker on your rear driver side window.

Anyway IIRC, only the Tribeca and Legacy are made in the US, all other Subaru are made in Japan and shipped over here.

Engine/Tranny assembled in Japan. I'm assuming everything else made in the U.S., but possible axles or heavy parts assembled in Mexico or Canada. Final assembly is definitely the U.S.

Final assembly is about 2 hours away from me in IN.

You don't know how to read a door sticker? You prolly don't know about the "washing the intercooler" issues either.
