DJ Wolf Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 Question: When I bring the car to a stop while in drive the car idles at about 700 RPM. Then I place the car in park. Once I go into Park the RPMS surge up to about 900 RPM hold there there about 1 second, then returns back to idle, 700RPM. a1rocketpilot Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 I've never noticed a surge when I put it into Park from Drive, but going the other way around, there is a drop of the same magnitude you mention.
