js516 Posted April 7, 2008 Share Posted April 7, 2008 They're probably speaker level. The sub harness is basically a y style harness that sits between the radio and the dash harness in most subies. If this is what you have, then it is speaker level. However, there are some models though that have a separate sub line on the radio, which I think is line level. The sub woofer is plugged into the smaller (IIRC, 8 pin) connector on the radio for these models. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On Subaru radios with the smaller 8-pin plug for the subwoofer, it has a 5th-channel amplified (speaker-level) output. I prefer to call the sub harness a "T" since the leg going to the sub T's (branches) off from some of the wires between the car and the radio.
