madabs
I know the Typhoon Intake is suppose to be loud but after installing it I feel there is way too much noise during normal driving. I am not sure if this is noraml or not. The noise is at 2k rpms or higher. I dont have any CEL and have checked to see if everything is tight. It sounds like a washing machine during a rinse cycle (water swishing around).

unstablementaly
that noise you here is the bypass valve opening during shifting. sounds like a toned down blowoff valve right? my vBGarage
Ridgeracer
that noise you here is the bypass valve opening during shifting. sounds like a toned down blowoff valve right? madabs
that noise you here is the bypass valve opening during shifting. sounds like a toned down blowoff valve right? Yes it does. I again checked to see if everything was in place and everything checked out. So I removed it. If anyone wants to by a day old K&N Typhoon just PM me. unstablementaly
you are gonna get nearly that same exact sound with any intake you put on the car. keep the stock intake and use a panel filter. oh yea, unless you're tuned for it, don't run an aftermarket intake on your car!! trust me on this one. and your car will appreciate it too! my vBGarage
Ridgeracer
I'm a little leery about the panel filters too without a tune.. "Gimme mines Balboa...Gimme mines".....Clubber Lang - Mr. T
unstablementaly
I'm a little leery about the panel filters too without a tune.. eh, cobb doesn't seem to have a problem with it. you're not changing the proportion of air coming in. just allowing it to pass with less restriction. pipe is still the same size. my vBGarage
madabs
Im getting my Cobb on Monday but I went back to the K&N Panel. Commuting with the wife in the car it was just too loud to have a conversation.
