Brady
This was so annoying, but I had what I THOUGHT was a corner dashboard rattle for a while now. Didn't seem consistent, just at certain frequencies. That is, at least, until I was cleaning the windows and noticed the same offending rattle seemingly coming from the rear footwell on the driver's side. It hit me that it was probably the OEM sub vibrating against the bracket. Must be something with the sound dynamics in the car that it always sounded like it was coming from the front near the windshield. To verify, I took the sub out, and found a Quarter between the bracket and the sub, which had worn a little ring in the paint on the bracket from the quarter vibrating. Also found a dime beneath the bracket on the other side. Replaced the sub after a little addition of foam to one point that could continue to vibrate, found a song that always produced the rattle ... Gone. That's one thing I've always hated about rattles. It's sometimes harder to isolate them than one might think. And ... I'm 35 cents richer!!!!
