bnguyenbb6
Alright so, the other night I hardwired my 9500i with the smartcord and mini add-a-circuit tapping into the cigarette lighter fuse for power. I thought I did a great job, everything seemed to work still. Next night came and I figured out that my boost gauge and Sirius radio (both bought the car with them) are also tapped the same way for power. The boost gauge no longer lights up and Sirius radio no longer turns on. I have now unplugged the add-a-circuit and boost gauge and sirius both work now. Does anyone else have any ideas on where to tap for power? Thanks

bnguyenbb6
I do have a homelink mirror but how do you tap it using the Belscort smartcord?
derffred
Just grab a test light and test wires until you see you have power when the key is on... that's what I did for my hardwire, it works flawless
bnguyenbb6
Well the problem with the fuse tap is that sometimes it will power the radar detector but not power the rest. For example, if you tap fuse 21(starter relay), the 9500i will turn on and function great but you can start the car. Fuse 31, same thing, radar but no A/C.
