Hokiebird
Does anyone know any good wheel repair shops around Fairfax/NoVa? I just picked up a set of wheels and one has a pretty bad gouge on the rim. I'd like to take it in to see if it can be fixed and how much it might run. I did a search in the wheels section and their were some shops in Md suggested, but I'd prefer something closer if possible. If the better shops are up in Md I'm obviously willing to make the drive for a quality repair. I just wanted some feedback since I've never had a wheel fixed before. Farrish Subaru
There's a local shop on Rt. 50 that I've used and they've always given me fantastic results. Call Mohammed at 703-835-9671. His shop is right behind Skyline Motorcars (opposite Hooters). Tell him you were referred to him by Farrish Subaru.
Hokiebird
I talked to them today. You weren't kidding when you said "behind Skyline Motorcars". Thanks AK!
Farrish Subaru
Glad I could help! Let me know how the results come out. As I've said before, I've been very satisfied with the work they've done for us so far.
Hokiebird
I got the wheels back. I had them fix the gouge in one wheel and get baked on brake dust off two other wheels. I spent a while working on the brake dust and it just wasn't coming off. They said it took them 4 hours to get it off. I'm pleased with the results and would use them again for things I can't tackle on my own. I was going to take pictures, but I can't find my digital camera. Now I just need to make a decision on what tires I want to run.
