DesertEagle
My '06 2.5i 4EAT has been slowly dripping oil from the rear diff. At first I thought it was from the drain or fill hole, but that's not the case. It looks like it's leaking from where the rear diff is mounted (don't know much about this). There's oil getting all over the exhaust pipe, sway bar, and fuel tank. Can you guys tell me exactly what's happening here? Also, I JUST passed the bumper-to-bumper warranty. Is this something the 60,000 mile powertrain would cover? Thanks for your help. Up until now the car's been flawless! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/manlychst9/100_2624.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/manlychst9/100_2620.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v235/manlychst9/100_2618.jpg
DesertEagle
Took it to the dealer today. Supposedly I overfilled the diff and the "breather" was venting out the oil. They "drained and refilled to the correct level". What a waste of $50. Wish I had known that that was some sort of breather.
