Crank Pulley Failure?

Recommended Posts

  • 1 year later...

Happened to my 05 LGT last summer. Tore up a couple of belts before I figured out what was up. The last time, the AC belt wore through the timing cover, and almost through the AC connector (maybe the metal pins slowed it down enough to save it). Got an AL one from Lachute for a reasonable price, it's been working just fine since then. If you need a new AC wire (the 4" piece by the compressor) here's the part:

I got one for a couple bucks at the local parts yard.

For the life of me,I don't understand why anyone would put a stock one back on,let alone used, after it's known to do so much damage. There are at least 6 good aftermarket choices available, google is your friend...CovertRussian has a list of them on this site as well.
