nd4mr2spd Posted March 18, 2008 Share Posted March 18, 2008 K I just put in a freshly rebuilt motor this weekend and did the normal oil pump pump up (crank up w/out starting) untill the light went out, then started it up just fine EXCEPT - My check engine light is flashing very fast. Turned it off, checked codes and I've got a VSS code, along with some undocumented codes of P1121 and P1560. My car had an add on subaru keyless entry zip tied under the dash with a bunch of those clamp on splice connectors. It didn't work anyway so I pulled the system / wiring harness for it completely out. (I was blowing my dash light fuse everytime and now that is fixed from removing that). I was watching the data stream and @ idle it almost sounds like the engine is having issues with pre-ignition and ignition timing at idle is approx 19 deg BTDC and will drop to ~15 when I throttle up.
