Is it customary to shave bump stops when installing lowering springs?

I don't think so. I just put h-techs in and they will bottom out, but only if I hit speed bumps too fast. I used to be able to hit the speed bumps in my neighborhood at exactly 25MPH without bottoming out and now I have to slow down to about 15mph and it's still a solid bump.

no, dont cut the bump stops. or would tou rather have metal get closer to metal when you bottom out.

your ion springs may have lowered you car, but they havent compensated by being stiff enough nor having high enough of a spring rate to prevent bottoming out.
