Quiethom
I'm looking into getting Goodyear F1 All Seasons 225/45/18 for my spec b rims. Anyone try this size or this tire?
Spec B
They will work just fine but your speedo will be a little slow...at 60MPH your speedo will read 57 or 58. If you want to keep your overall wheel diameter closer to stock, you will need 225/40/18s.
Quiethom
ah 225/40/18's would be within 1.8% of the size but are used with a suggested rim width of 7.5-9" according to the tire calculator. worried that it will be a stretch for the 7" width of the spec b rims.... SC GT
225/40/18s will work fine, but 225/45/18s will give you a more comfortable ride.
Quiethom
Just got everything installed. Went with Goodyear F1 225/45/18 on Spec-B rims. Pretty happy with the new set up. The 225's fit great with an extra 10mm for curb protection. Now I'm thinking.....ION Springs. Whatcha all think?
syphax
I am running 225/40/18 snow tires on my spec.b, and it rides and performs great. It is purely out of necessity, though - I will be back to the stock RE050s in the summer. Semper ubi sub ubi.
Spec B
Wow...they look very nice! I think the 225/45 actually make the car look lower (less wheel gap). Congrats and enjoy!
