tjcarst
Currently driving '04 WRX - under 1,000 miles. Can't wait to see the '05 Legacy.
Yukonart
Oooooh. . . . finish breaking her in. Driving gets MUCH more fun once you can start revving the engine up a bit more. ;)
SUBE555
:( Waiting for turbo power. That's okay, another season of AutoX/RallyX and I'll have my skills honed a bit more before adding more power. ;)
Yukonart
[quote name='SUBE555']:( Waiting for turbo power. Autocrossed my last car (02 Civic coupe) with heavily-modded suspension. . . and I'm GLAD it was a slow car. The suspension totally made-up for a lot of it, but like you, I'm glad I wasn't in a racehorse of a car while learning the basics of autocross. I think I have my work cut-out for me this season. Autoxing the STi is going to be a bit more of a handfull.
SUBE555
One of my buddies has been AutoXing over 10 years and got his STi this past May, he's a good driver, best way to describe driving with Dave was the best rollercoaster and multiply by 50! It is so true. For that minute or whatever you're out on the course it's just AWESOME! Even better running Hoosiers! ;) Have fun with the STi! :)

SUBE555
You can start to open her up. :D What part of Nebraska are you in?
tjcarst
I think I'll wait until the latest 12" of snow has cleared a little :) I'm thrilled to discover that she handles great on the snow. I'm in Lincoln, NE. tjcarst
SUBE555
You still have the RE92's?
tjcarst
Yep - everything's stock. Upgraded (??) stereo/amp, turbo boost gauge, rear spoiler.
SUBE555
You'll love it with some Sumi's or other better A/S tires that can actually track in the snow. The RE92's ain't nuthin compared to the top 3-4 A/S tires out there on TR.
tjcarst
Compared to the sled I used to drive, these are great :) Sled = '98 Caddy Catera - rear wheel drive
SUBE555
Yeah I bet it is a dream to drive instead. Value doesn't drop off as much either. )
tjcarst
The caddy was a nice ride. A little sporty, luxurious detailing, smooth, and fun. Just not as fun as the WRX :) One of the main reasons for parting with the caddy was due to how hard it was to get around in the snow. It was a very nice car and I miss her. But I love my WRX! Wish I could have both!
