kyledooley Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 If you're running stock cans, I was wondering if you still had the tip alignment issues? I'm trying to figure out (in advance of my exhaust arriving) if the problem is with the cans or the pipes. If you have pics that would be even more helpful. Thanks, Kyle
Zed 2.0 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 The alignment problems on my system were due to the cans.
Zed 2.0 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Put the stock cans back on. There didn't seem to be anything that could be done on the XO2 cans short of cutting the hanger bars off and rewelding them. However, my mid and y pipes are now rusting through, so the XO2 on my car will be short-lived.
BlackHole Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 No alignment issues with my XO2 CBE + stock cans. Kyle "BlackHole"
SpeedNeeder Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Rusting through already??? My other car is a 1993 Chevy S-10 Tahoe! (Currently being driven to failure by my nephew)
Zed 2.0 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Rusting through already??? Yup, look at the end of the 3rd group buy thread.
kyledooley Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 Ugh. I'm wondering if I should just take them straight to the local ceramic coater as soon as it shows up. Oh, and thanks for the responses on the stock cans issue. I'm going to be running stock mufflers. K.
kyledooley Posted February 25, 2008 Author Posted February 25, 2008 If anyone is looking for just axle-back cans, I'm selling my XO2 mufflers. http://www.legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82237 Kyle
