JeffK1320
So it seems that Torco has a back log of there product. Not wanting to order a 5 gallon jug plus hazmat fees I was looking for a good alternative. I've been told by a few STI guys running torco tunes that Nitrous Formula is just as efficient... 98-99% to be more specific. I just order 4 10oz bottles of "Nitrous Formula" from need4speedpower.com. Mixtures are the same as Torco. Here's a link to the to the stuff. Talking with the US vendor, he has done some testing and will update his web site in a few weeks. http://www.nitrous.com.au/ Best thing is it's not flamable so it doesn't need a hazmat fee to ship. Shipping was $7 from the local US vendor. So if your looking for an alternative to Torco this might be a nice option. '07 Forester STI (ECS Performance)..SOLD! '09 Spec B...Sold! tytek
I'd take E-85 over Torco or Nitrous Formula. You need to get tuned for more octane regardless of what you use.
JeffK1320
I'm tuned for 100 octane. Went over to TDC a few months ago and for not having any real mods the return was amazing. AKLGT
I've been using Torco for 2 yrs now. I sell it. It works and so far has been extremely reliable. I would be hesitant to deviate from my known working remedy/maps at this point. However, for someone who doesn't rely on it like I do, might be worth trying out other additives. Keep us informed. He'll fill you in and tell you everything he knows. He just started carrying it a few months ago. His website is going to be updated shortly. '07 Forester STI (ECS Performance)..SOLD! GT_NKY
seriously folks, if pump gas is not enough for you, then E85 is the way to go: - cheaper than gas - over 100 octane (allows for more aggressive timing) - burns much cooler (allows for higher boost / lower air temperatures)
