Yebbey Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ok, so I've had my bilsteins and htechs on since about August....and it's killing me every time I look at my car and notice the larger gap in the front than back wheel wells. The car drives great, but I just can't forget how I loved the way it looked with the stock struts and htechs. So has anyone cut a little of their htechs and have any input???
TRS Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Might want to try this solution first... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61155
whitetiger Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 why not sell the bils and htecs and buy an entry level coilover set. that way you can adjust height to perfection.
Noktrnal_Legacy Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 why not sell the bils and htecs and buy an entry level coilover set. that way you can adjust height to perfection. Plus one.. Tein basics..
whitetiger Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ^yup. perfect for people who dont want a complicated coilover and just want to control ride height.
praedet Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Just get rid of the springs, then it will be VERY even, and handle as well as the H-techs!
whitetiger Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 Whats the spring rate for the bump stops?
praedet Posted February 12, 2008 Posted February 12, 2008 ^^PERFECT Or weld the shocks at whatever height you want...
phenryiv1 Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 Just sell me your H-techs and get S-techs. Patrick Looking for spacers or adapters to install aftermarket speakers in the doors of your Legacy? CLICK HERE or PM me! http://www.carstereoadapters.com./
Yebbey Posted February 14, 2008 Author Posted February 14, 2008 well, I thougth about the pads, but the problem is that I like the drop in the back and the lower drop in the front.
Thirdeye Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Does anyone have any input on the softness of Tein Basics. I've read the flexes are too stiff for a good DD and the comforts are too expensive. I ran the basics on my A4 and they were stiff but still bearable. Im currently running Htechs with USMD Bilsteins as well and am considering mix and matching springs. If the basics have comprable ride to the Htechs than I think I've found my answer.
TPLGT Posted February 17, 2008 Posted February 17, 2008 Get a set of Swifts. They will change your life... Rehab is for quitters.
