whitetiger Posted February 9, 2008 Share Posted February 9, 2008 did you do the install yourself? check the clearance between the DP and the firewall. ive seem some DPs get ver close to hitting it. also check the turbo heatsheild to se if its secured properly. jcSKYhigh Posted February 9, 2008 Author Share Posted February 9, 2008 I did it myself, i guess i either got a crappy DP or i just installed it wrong. I remember the DP being pretty damn close to the firewall. Should i replace the DP or is there anyway i can just tweak it to get more clearance? THANKS!!! SlightlyEvil Posted February 11, 2008 Share Posted February 11, 2008 i have the invidia DP and mine doesn't slap the firewall at all, even under engine loading and twisting (if you bolted it to the tranny properly it won't at least). Check the bracket that attaches it to the tranny (I'm assuming you've got MT not AT). Check the bolts are all securely tightened at the DP>turbo flange. Check any bolts in any bungs you may have (not sure if the AT DP has a wideband bung that's bolted, I had one put in mine when it was tuned and my bolt rattled till I put a washer on it.) Weird that it only makes it when turning left, but seems the LGT makes all sorts of weird sounds... its like an old man, it makes weird noises when it rains.
