elledee
Well, I had the code read at Autozone, very helpful place, thanks for the lead. Subie is at the dealer's now, with a bad manifold pressure sensor, a part that needs to be ordered in (M or T)--I was to leave for FL 2 days ago. Shop guy said it shouldn't be a problem to drive from Columbus OH to Naples FL, but of course would not guarantee that. Any comments from you who know Subies so well?? mickeyd2005
Is this a 2005+ LGT? Is it bone stock? IIRC, if the MAP sensor is disabled or disconnected, the ecu will calculate MAP based upon MAF. The equation is linear so it's not that accurate especially at high load but it's considered close enough for fail-safe. If you don't push the car or if you disconnect the BCS (so you run on wastegate spring pressure), you should be okay... no guarantees of course.
