minimalistic
I tried searching but I couldn't find an answer. Whats the difference between the Cobb catted downpipe for the MT & 5EAT. My brother is doing a part out on his Legacy and I'd love to snatch up the DP but it's for a 5EAT and I have a MT. No chance in hell it will fit? Even with modification? Would it be worth trying to modify if it was free?
Bbc84
i think the bracket is different. I bought a DP from someone who had a 5EAT that had a 5MT DP. he said they tried to bend the 5MT downpipe bracket to fit his 5EAT but couldnt get it to fit. Im not sure how the other way would go but im guessing it wont fit.
fweasel
I believe I helped install a 5EAT Cobb DP on Kartracerboy's 5MT wagon. If I remember correctly, it fit, but the hanger bracket doesn't line up so it puts more weight on the turbo. I think there were some other clearance issues as well, but nothing a hammer swung by a previous installer couldn't seem to fix. PM him for more info. ignore him, he'll go away. ppena
I know on the stock downpipes the bracket on the transmission doesn't line up. If you can't get it to work and want to sell it send me a PM I might be interested and I'm in the area. Phillip
minimalistic
It sounds like a lot of work, it will probably be up for sell. The problem is he needs a stock DP to replace it with. He bought the car and it was already stage 2. Up for sale soon will be a Cobb V1 AP, Cobb DP, and a bent Borla exhaust
