Shock Top aka "Spring Heat Spiced Wheat"

BDII

Recommended Posts

Is a new Beer from Budweiser.

Belgian White (wheat ale) with a hint of orange.

Not over powering like some Belgian whites.... perfect blend.

I'd compare it to a UFO/Blue Moon mix with a light flavor and clean finish.

Just got a 6 pack from my pops.

I Highly recommend it :)

Blue Moon is made by Bud or Miller I forget what one.

hoegaarden is the only good "Belgian" white ale.

Have you tried Shock Top?

Every beer out there is owned by a big company, Sam Adams included.

Once a beer get's famous it get's bought out, Shock Top for example was a small time beer. It made it big and Budweiser bought it.

I apologize for coming off as a beer snob (even though I kind of am). Part of the problem is that i'm in Mexico and I've been drinking all day.

Oregon is the microbrew capitol of the world, and we have alot of award winning breweries and beers.

i'm sure the shock top is good and I look forward to trying it when i get the chance.

cheers and happy holidays to all!

ooooh I see.... you're one of those people....

You drink micro brews that never win any awards.

I'm with mattg, and one of my favorites is Surly. Look them up. They're about as small as it gets.

After having been a visitor to both Oregon and Colorado, I chose Colorado. ;)

I put Oregon way up on my rating of places for beer, but I think CO has an edge. Your mileage may vary.
